Mick Allsopps Winning SRT6 Roadster

Mick Allsopp’s SRT 6 Roadster swept the boards at the Stars and Stripes American Car Show last weekend. He won 1st place in the show and shine competition, 2nd place best standard car and 2nd place best in show. He wasn’t the only winner.

Jo and Michael Ramsey won the farthest distance travelled to the show. They travelled from Sunderland in the North East. They should have also got the prize for packing the most kit in a Crossfire Roadster. They managed to get a five man tent, a camping stove, sleeping bags, clothes and a table into the boot and still get the hood down. Impressive to say the least.

Taking second place in the Show and Shine was John Gillen and last but not least was Karl Edmundson who picked up 3rd prize for best standard car with his SRT6 Coupe.

The show is one of the UK’s premier events for lovers of all things American! Huge Fins ‘n’ Chrome cars from the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s including Muscle cars from all eras to the very latest models! Corvettes, Mustangs, Cadillacs, Hot Rods, Custom Cars and more plus the famous Wall of Death. Over 100 memorabilia, American lifestyle and general trade stalls. Live music and even a `Wild West Shoot Out’ and lots more entertainment for all the family. This year the UK Crossfire Club teamed up with the Chrysler Enthusiasts and Owners Club to make an even bigger impression with a fantastic range of vehicles on display. Karl the organiser of the UK Crossfires said ‘Joining forces with the Chrysler Enthusiasts and Owners Group was a great experience , they are an absolutely brilliant group of people and a huge thanks to them for helping making the event highly enjoyable’. A big thanks to everyone who turned up over the weekend.
